Ayr look to bounce back
Ayr will give defender Martyn Campbell his first start in three months after a foot injury when they host Scottish League One bottom club Airdrie.
The Honest Men are looking to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat to Stranraer last weekend.
Player/manager Mark Roberts said: "Martyn came on as a substitute last week and immediately made us a more solid looking outfit. It was a disappointing result and we paid a heavy price for not scoring when we were well on top early on.
"Airdrie have improved a lot under Gary Bollan and have a lot of energy in their side but if we play like we can then we will win."
The improving Diamonds travel to Somerset Park without David Sinclair, who parted company with the club this week.
Manager Bollan is again without the injured Chris O'Neill (groin), Grant Drummond (knee), Grant Evans (ankle) and John Boyle (knee) as he looks for the win that could lift his side off the foot of the table.
And Bollan is not reading too much into Ayr's loss at Stranraer. He said: "Ayr started as the better team and could have been two goals up before Stranraer scored. It was a bad result for them but the scoreline only tells part of the story."
