It was a weekend of disappointment for Ayr as they squandered a two goal lead at Stirling's Forthbank stadium only 24 hours after hearing that he dream of moving into a new stadium next season.
The stadium deal was aborted after Barratt Homes withdrew from the deal. Barratt were due to buy Ayr United's Somerset Park for house building but a combination of stringent demands from South Ayrshire Council on the types of homes to be built and already established fears about the housing market were too much for Barratt.
It now means Ayr have to think again.
24 Hours later the team lined up against Stirling Albion. League leaders Ayr went 2-0 up early on with goals from Bryan Prunty in 9 and 11 minutes.
But goals from Taggert on 19 minutes and a Hardy penalty in the 65th minute ensured that Albion took a point from Ayr.
In a bad tempered match Ayr's Keenan and Stevenson were booked along with former Ayr player David Lowing and substitute Corr.
The result leaves Ayr on top of the league on goal difference.
