Ayr United won their Scottish Cup replay against 10-man Lochee United to set up a fourth round home tie against local rivals Kilmarnock.
Defender Neil McGowan, just back from injury, gave United a half-time lead over the Dundee outfit with a 36th-minute header.
David Gormley headed Ayr further ahead on 53 minutes and Division Two's top scorer, Bryan Prunty added a third five minutes later to put Ayr 3-0 ahead and cruising.
Substitute Paul Blackwood pulled one back for Lochee shortly before captain Charlie Cargill received a second yellow card with 13 minutes remaining.
A pleasing aspect to the match was the 2,049 fans who attended, responding to manager Brian Reid's call for more support earlier in the week.
