Ayr United go into their home match with Dundee tonight unbeaten in five matches.
Rocky Visconte and Willie Easton remain on the sidelines otherwise United are expected to have a full squad to choose from for the visit of league leaders Dundee tomorrow night. Brian Reid had the luxury of picking the same starting XI on Saturday for the first time this season but may be tempted to make changes after a “flat and tired” looking performance against Airdrie at the weekend where United conceded in 92 minutes after taking a dramatic lead on the 90 minute mark.
Looking forward to the game Brain said: "We are establishing a good record at Somerset Park again and came back from two down to draw with Dundee the last time they were here.
"That result along with playing well in two trips to Dens Park means that there is no reason why we should not feel confident about this game."
Just two of Ayr’s last eight games have been at home, where The Honest Men have won their last three games without conceding.
Dundee are looking to bounce back from their own disappointment at the weekend, having been most people’s favourites to despatch Raith Rovers to clinch a place in the Active Nation Scottish Cup Semi-Final.
Jocky Scott has asked his players to show character after their defeat, and said: "This is an occasion where players need to stand tall and get over a disappointment.
"There is no point in dwelling on the cup as that has gone now and we have to get back to leading the way in the First Division."
The Dee’s latest big name signing, former Rangers defender Bob Malcolm could be in line to make his debut with with only the long-term injured pair of David Cowan and Paul McHale unavailable for the visitors.
With Ayr having moved to third bottom and established a two point lead over Morton it is vital that Ayr at least avoid defeat tonight. Morton take on bottom club Airdrie United.
