Ayr United recorded a valuable win with a superb 1-0 win ove Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday.
It also brought Dunfermline's eight-game unbeaten run to a halt as Ayr picked up their second league win of the season.
Ryan Stevenson scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute, drilling in from a Ryan McGowan cut-back.
The Pars should have gone ahead on 19 minutes but Graham Bayne miss-hit after good work by Steven Bell.
Steven McDougall had a shot superbly parried by Craig Samson as Dunfermline piled on the pressure, but the Honest Men held out for a valuable win.
This win means that Ayr have now gone four games unbeaten (three in the league) and It gives Ayr fans a bit of hope that the team may be beginning to get to grips with life in the first division.
